EXHIBIT B AT BARBICAN GALLERY

Studio B exhibit , of Saartjie "Sarah" Baartman art work
Saartjie “Sarah” Baartman

Hell no I will not sign a petition, to ban this piece from the Barbican Gallery, this piece of art is doing what it suppose to do. Start a dialogue. Make up your minds. Contemplate your sins. Especially with the people who disagrees with the point of view of the artist, people kill people, and they make up categories to make it efficient. Mr. Brett Bailey, in my opinion, is right. The question is about humanity. One kind, not the groups: black, white, Jews, liberals, on and on. The danger comes from self-righteous people who believe they have a moral right to Censor; tell us what we should think. All the atrocities about the brutally of slavery pale in comparison to the mind fuck, slave morality, ideology of guilt that cause individual to enslave themselves.

The comment from Theater director Nadia Latif argued Bailey’s work shouldn’t have been censored.  What she posted to Twitter Is brilliant. She starts by stating how she loved the show and thought it was brilliant. She points this out because she a black woman went to see the show fair herself and loved it.

You can read more in the brilliant impartial commentary by Soraya Nadia McDonald, who covers arts, for the Washington.
