Miles Davis Big Fun
Talking contemporary art with Jens at KAFU Hair and Gallery, My Miles Davis big Fun, is an homage to American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat A celebration of children’s art a celebration of the uniqueness of a finger-painting. My collaboration with my daughter’s artwork as I watch them engross in the world where their ideas materialize in neo-expressionist primitive minimalist drawings where images communicate. Red and Yellow Lines take flight in endless space like purple skies. Expressing intentions true windows to the world. I join the process by amplifying their ideas, stories, with establishing forms of communication: composition colors contrast texture and some symbolism. Enjoying our Miles Davis Big Fun. We join with our own YBA Bermuda Biennial artist Henry Ward and Glen Wilks to talk about “light & Air” a collaboration of artists models and poetry by poet Andra Simons coming together in an alternative space, Kafu, the first of its kind in Bermuda. Confronting moral judgments from conservative religious define assertion sense of morality and meaningless values of sex and shame with a series of nudes; Lots of nudes of fellow egotist prideful courageous risk-taking artist who refuse to be part of a collective that celebrated humility, altruism and self-denial. Sure some altruist came along for the ride but their ego got the best of them.
